Simping is being exceedingly & overwhelmingly nice to someone, borderline or even touching being an unethical pushover, often in a romantic context, without receiving the same level of interest and energy in return. It’s not merely about treating partners with respect that’s being a good person. Simping takes it a notch higher, where the level of niceness is excessive, obsessive and often unreciprocated. It’s more about overcompensating, over pleasing, and being overly "DESPERATE" for approval, affirmation & intimacy
