This ad was the first that set a high creative bar for Apple as a brand. Honestly, it feels dated today. But at the time it is difficult to explain the impact this piece of work had at the time.
Directed by Ridley Scott, it was by far the most expensive ad ever made at the time. It ran only once, but the hype about it brought it instant fame. It became part of the zeitgeist and showed that advertising could truly be artistic.
