Leading figures from organizations, education, and journalism gather on May 12, 2021, for PaleyImpact: Media's Role in Identifying, Explaining, and Combating Antisemitism, moderated by Rebecca Jarvis, to address the recent rise in antisemitism and discuss how to inform, educate, and make an impact on this enduring prejudice. Maureen Reidy, Paley Center President and CEO, offers opening comments. Panel topics include: how antisemitism has evolved over the decades; what is motivating the current rise in antisemitism; the value of tolerance and education in deterring ignorance and apathy; the power of continually telling the stories of individuals like Anne Frank and Golda Meir; the proliferation of ""conspiracy theories"" via social media; Rabbi Cooper's reflections on having had Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal as a mentor; how antisemitism has become ""a political football""; what factors inspired ""non-Jew"" Huffnagle to focus her life on fighting antisemitism; and the steps that every individual can enact to eliminate antisemitism.
