In a collaboration between Metabolism of Cities and local partners, three different one-day seminar events took place in three cities in 2019 including Capte Town, South Africa, Beijing, China and Brussels, Belguim. During this event conversations, presentations, and discussions took place with a focus on the host city and how urban metabolism practices could be better applied in this city. The focus was achieving a systematic understanding of the local city's resources how these resources flow through the city, with a specific focus on local environmental challenges. This seminar series is funded by the Urban Studies Foundation.
