So many of my subscribers want me to present more and more and more about the 1960s. People who grew up at that time do. People whose parents grew up during those tumultuous years do. People whose grandparents grew up at that time all who were parents themselves raising baby boomer children. Not all decades are the same. The 60s was a amazingly complex time I chose to focus my work on social and cultural experiences not so much on politics. Although I do have many videos in this collection about the Vietnam War, about rock 'n' roll, about the protests. About high school and college students who weren't involved in all of the noise of the 1960s but who just wanted to live as they had grown up in the 1950s. As many different opinions about the 1960s as I have ever filmed her in this playlist. Racial issues. Civil rights. School prayer. Banned books. Pro and antiwar. So much that defines the 1960s which I see as beginning in about 1959 and ending with the ending of the Vietnam War in the 1970s.
