Race and racism and racial issues and civil rights and fairness and justice have been discussed in America since I started recording film in 1963. Over and over again I have come upon people and situations where the subject of black and white Americans has been raised not only by black Americans as you can see in this collection that I have put together in this playlist. The subject's are varied and the people's opinions are varied. Some complain. Some describe. Some prefer how it was. Some wished it would be different. Some are hopeful. Many are articulate. This playlist contains black Americans and white Americans discussing this issue. Several of my subscribers have watched the entire collection and find that in a way, they are watching a version of what some call critical race theory. I didn't intend that as it is only a playlist collection my team has put together of the films and videos I have recorded and collected over my 60 years as a documentary filmmaker. I do hope that those who watch these clips find them historically relevant and valuable to help us understand the present and see where we are headed as a nation. I have faith that things are getting better and will continue in that direction.
