Dark Spectrum returns to the Wynyard tunnels in Sydney over 23 nights, from 24 May to 15 June 2024.

Go deep underground, travel back in time within the Wynyard Tunnels, then fast forward to right here, right now. Plunge into a space of misdirection and discover a secret spectrum of touchable colour with 300 kaleidoscopic lasers, 500 handmade lanterns and over 250 searchlights in an underworld of intensity and power.

An epic soundtrack filled with dance tracks and club hits will draw you deeper as you move through this all-new kilometre long immersive experience made up of eight different chambers where light, sound and colour collide.

Brought to Sydney by award-winning, international trail producers Sony Music, Culture Creative and Mandylights as part of Vivid Sydney 2024, turn on the lights again, open your mind and unleash the mystery of Dark Spectrum: A New Journey.

In this year's journey, move through this eight-room experience, each area filled with a different colour linked to its own altered soundscape taking you into a new time and space. The all-new artwork installations this year include Throwback, Misdirection, Search, Revel, Distortion, Radiate, Saturate and Together.

The entrance for Dark Spectrum is located in Wynyard Park which is situated between York Street and Carrington Street. Once your ticket is scanned, you will be guided by a steward to the entrance. Please note, you will exit via Cumberland Street in The Rocks.

Dark Spectrum is suitable for a wide range of age groups to enjoy. However, please be advised that children between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult; children aged 5 and under are not permitted into the event. For safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted.

This event involves flashing light sequences and strobe, smoke and haze effects in some areas of the route. There are limited exits once inside the experience.
