TH€ $OUND OF MON€¥, a band from the truly vital across-all-genres underground scene of Munich. Closely linked to the Echokammer label, you might be surprised of their gentle, sophisticated sounds, and their will to create timeless pop beauty with a psychedelic twist. They've been working along a playful basic idea, you may call it concept: Facing that 2017 is also the 50th anniversary of "Summer Of Love" the band took 12 of their favourite late 60’s albums, created anagrams with those album names and made those their song titles. Then they took those 12 imaginary songs and wrote new lyrics and new music with it. It's all fresh and the songs show a broad variety. We are planning to release the album, - or how they call it: an "Anagrammatical Exorcism of the 60s" - entitled "More? Why Not?" in June 2017 (hence the "Summer Of Love"). It's a celebration of the album (is it dying?) as an art form, as well as a bow to a decade. As they put it: "the last decade when we Western kids could lead ourselves to believe the world would become a brand new and better place to be". While we are preparing for that album we will drop some songs on the way, through a few DIY videos (and three digital 2-track singles). http://bbislandmusic.com/the-sound-of... https://www.facebook.com/thesoundofmo...
