No video this week (first time in a while!), as I've been crunching through a few MASSIVE projects. But I would like to call out  @ExplainingComputers  — a channel which I owe a lot to over the years, it just passed 1,000,000 subscribers!

I have a doozy of a video I'm prepping for Pi Day, so stay tuned, but in the meantime, here's a little gift KIOXIA dropped in the mail this week. They were a little saddened I tried building a 'high speed' ZFS volume with four consumer-level SATA SSDs, and I think they wanted to completely obliterate that performance with these CD8s. Hopefully I can get them installed soon, since I'm using the new NAS every day now! 

Did you know today is  @raspberrypi 's 3rd birthday! (Even though they've been around for 12 years...). In celebration, here's a teaser for an upcoming video, where I'm going to expose Raspberry Pi—right down to the bare die!

There are some other surprises in store, too... this video's been a few months in the making. Hopefully it will convey at least like 1% of the awe and wonder I get when I see these things under an electron microscope! 

This controversial chassis is workin' its way into my next video. But it's what's *inside* you'll be most interested in... any guesses? 

Love the focus on efficiency. As we reach the limits of wall sockets and common circuits in homes, efficiency will become a more important metric over time!
