Welcome to HDR Advanced
Why HDR?
Your eyes are able to perceive whites that are brighter and blacks that are darker than traditional SDR displays. Older imaging standards, such as Rec.709, often lose details in the darkest and brightest areas of a picture. HDR content preserves these details.
HDR10 is the industry standard format that needs to be supported by all devices and content. In HDR10, the brightness is set for the entire program, so bright and dark portions are the same.
HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, which are dynamic forms of HDR, are more advanced versions. In order to achieve a more faithful HDR performance, they use metadata to optimize an image either shot-by-shot or scene-by-scene.
Brightness (or luminance) refers to how bright a TV can get and is measured in nits. We invite you to the your HDR device with our HDR content. Enjoy!
